The theatre of Paciano, known to locals as the “ex cinema” and formally as the Centro di Documentazione sul Paesaggio, is in a two-storey building in the Piazza della Repubblica.
The modern theatre, restored in the early 2000s, can hold up to about 90 people. Today it is an important place for socialising and for promoting culture. The theatre group “Il Futuro e la Memoria” organises workshops for children and adults and holds performances throughout the year.
The theatre is also used occasionally for conferences. The “Summer at Trasimemo” programme – a summer recreation programme for children and teenagers – also uses the theatre space.
The upper floor of the building houses the Banda Musicale Pacianese, the town band, an association founded 50 years ago that promotes music for young people and adults.
